The Preakness will carry extra special interest this year!
- A legitimate potential Triple Crown Champion (Mine That Bird) makes the race special in it's own right. Mine That Bird was originally thought to be only a threat to win the Belmont Stakes at 1 1/2 miles, and was going to make an appearance run in the Kentucky Derby, skip the Preakness, and then try to grab a place in the history book in New York on June 6th. Everything changed with the amazing Derby run! A very impressive 105 Beyer's rating in a widening margin run away win! This horse will take on lots on money in the Preakness, his 50:1 days are long gone.
- Adding even more luster to the Preakness affair is the late entry of the outstanding and undefeated fillie, Rachael Alexandra, who ran a 108 Beyer's rating in the Kentucky Oaks and won by over 20 lengths! She will also take on a lot of wager money, as many feel she to be the fastest of all the 3 year old's, male or female!
- Adding the most luster, is almost half of the remaining field has Win Potential........probably the best crop of 3-year olds we've seen in years.
Most competent handicappers will come up with the "should win" group, the better handicappers will come up with the "could win" group and the best handicappers will come up with the right combinations from each. As we demonstrated in the Derby, handicapping is important, but wager selection is always just as important.
In our wager selections for the Preakness, we'll be coming up with what we think are the highest probabilities for a large win day at a reasonable chance of cashing......that's what it's all about.
Our Preakness Package will provide Full Card Top Picks and Long Shots, our Baseline Pick Six selections, our BalWaL (Bet a little Win a Lot) play of the day, and a good selection of Pick Three, Trifecta, and Superfecta plays.
