Bandaged and Bruised from the brutal weekend, we push on to the new week! Famous last words, I really like the last 6 races on Wednesday at Del Mar.
Here are reasons why:
I always perk up a bit when the smoke clears on the handicapping to find long shots, which I can include in my first or second position Top Picks. Another reason to get fired up is to find a race, where the morning line favorite is a complete "leave out".
In race Four, I find I can easily throw out the last race for #3 Black Magic Mama, which puts her right there as a Top Pick at 8:1.
In the Fifth, I'll throw out the fav'd #1 Flash the Silver and use the 6 & 8 with three long shots 8:1, 12:1 and 12:1 in a 5-horse TBX.
In race Nine, I make #10 Amore Di Aleyna another Top Pick and at 8:1 use on Top of my Trifecta play along with the 8.
I'll also be using these in my $24 Pick Six Ticket and $48 PPA play.
