The 16 day Fairplex Meet seems to have flown by this year.........Monday is closing day.
Closing Day means full payout of all the pools. Every dime goes out for the final $2 Pick Six, no matter how few winners. Another full payout will be their $1 Pick Nine. It's NOT a Place Pick Nine, your horse must WIN. The good thing is it's a $1 play for the Pick Nine vs. the $2 play for the Pick Six. The Pick Nine is a good thing to play on closing day. Play a small, but powerful ticket, including the long shots you like in a couple of the legs. If your long shots get home, you could collect a tidy sum!
I always advocate using the "All" button liberally on closing day of a Meet. There are nearly always a few surprise long shot winners, so take a swing for the fences with small trifecta and P3 plays using the "All" button and a few of our selections. We've had a lot of big winners at this Meet with $20-$30 P3 tickets using "All" in what appears the most wide open leg, a solid single of a leg, and 1, 2, or 3 of our selections in the other leg. Keep the wagers small and one or two big hits can result in a very profitable day.
First Post on Monday is 1:00pm PDT. We'll be processing orders right up to that time.
We'll be trying to polish off Fairplex with a bang to conclude another winning Meet........then it's on to the great Oak Tree Meet at Santa Anita where opening day is Wednesday 9-24. Good Luck!
