$128K Pick 6 Carryover at Hollywood Park

Advisory

Here we go again!  Another large Pick Six Carryover to start the horse racing week at Hollywood Park.  A real tough one to boot, as no race in the Pick Six sequence has a dominant "single" with the morning line fav's being at least 3:1 to 7:2 range.  This is great as it's doubtful we'll see many multiple winners, thus a giant payoff or another Carryover.  A very good day to take a small swing at a very large payoff. A good day to take the price horse you like and have him come in.  Very often we're stuck playing a small ticket with limited payoff potential.  Not the case on Wednesday.

We've got two long shots in the 3rd, 4th, and 8th races, and one long shot in 5th and 6th.  As for the seventh, we'll have to use 2 horses, #1 Double Dip (the likely favorite at 3:1) and #4 Vanguarda at 5:1(it appears only the boys from At The Track like this one).  The seventh remains the toughest race to call, as any in this 7 horse field could win. We'll go with the 1 & 4 for the P6, but will "All" this leg in a Pick Three.

Adding difficulty to the already tough card, there is rain in the forecast.  If it does rain and our selection is scratched, just pass on that race, as the pace scenario will be entirely different than the way we handicapped it.

For tough cards like this one, I always recommend small but powerful plays, i.e. I'd favor playing six separate straight $10 tri's than playing one large box for the same $60.  Play our selections or the ones you like, but keep your play "small/powerful".  Just one "small/powerful" win ticket will make for a very nice day.

Good Luck on Wednesday at Hollywood Park and anytime you're At The Track.
