More good racing at Santa Anita

Advisory

There's sure a lot of difference in getting 5 of 6 rather than all 6 on the Pick Six and we're feeling it tonight.  Hitting 5 of 6 each of the last two days got us a total of $638 vs $70,000 for our $36 Baseline Pick Six Ticket plays.

There are a lot of "near-miss" heart breaks in playing the horses, but when you do connect on a big one........well, there's nothing quite like it.  I don't know which I like best, seeing my long shot crossing the finish line first to wrap up a big multiple race win, or watching them stack up the Franklin's at the pay window.  Maybe tomorrow.

I like Sunday's Santa Anita card.  Each of the fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, and ninth races carry good value potential.  Potential is what we live for in horse playing and the young Santa Anita Meet has sure provided it!

Today's Wagering Tip:

When I like a long shot, I will use it in all my exotic plays connected to that race, in one fashion or another. Most of the time it's pretty easy for me to rate my long shots ........i.e. the one I like best, the one I like second best and so forth; however, some times you come up with 2 long shots you like equally in the same race.  When this happens, I'll play both of them to Win and Place.

In Sunday's fourth race at Santa Anita, I came up with this exact situation, so I'll be playing a Win/Place bet on both #3 Recoil at 8:1 and #1 Something Sonic at 12:1.  I'll also use each in some small exotic plays.

First Post will be at 12:30pm PST on Sunday to wrap up the second week of racing, which will resume again on Wednesday.  It will be nice to polish of the weekend with a  large win day!  Good luck on Sunday and anytime you're At The Track!
