It was a year ago and a few days before the Belmont Stakes when I revealed to Paul, I couldn't figure Big Brown as the winner. After BB's super impressive wins in both the Derby and Preakness, Paul suggested I have my head examined. Well, I didn't and went on to advise all our customers he would not win and not even run second, providing a list of reasons. We even had the long shot winner, got everyone a decent trifecta pay off, and those who used our selections in the P4 scooped up over $17,000. Turned out to be a very good day to say the least.
Well, I'm not just doing this for kicks, but low and behold, (Paul is likely getting papers together to have me committed), I do not have Mine That Bird winning the big race on Saturday. I do think Mine That Bird a very good horse and take nothing away from his tremendous run to win the Kentucky Derby and his even faster effort in running second in the Preakness. I do have him Close, But Not Winning the Belmont Stakes......our Belmont Package goes out on Friday evening and will include my winning selection for the Belmont Stakes, some terrific plays to maximize our dollar winnings, when we turn out to be right, full card Top Picks and Long Shots on the great under card, a suggested P4 play for the $1,000,000 guaranteed Pick Four and also for the $1,000,000 guaranteed Pick Six. It's sure to be a fun day At The Track!
Free Friday Long Shot:
Hollywood Park is back under the lights on Friday with a first post of 7:05pm PDT.
It will be pretty late , especially for you people on the east coast, but our Free Friday Long Shot comes in the 8th and final race, where I like #4 Cape Moonlight at 12:1. Recommend playing her to Win and Place and in your exotics with the 2-3-7-9.
Thursday Recap:
Our 3 key plays got decimated with scratches and no we didn't have the 100:1 shot winner in the sixth on our Best Bets; however, someone near and dear played "All" over our Top 2 Selections for a $20 Tri Play and cashed for $3721. I think this always a justified play when the race is contentious and there are lots of long shots going. It's likely the formula which has returned the most high payoff cashes for a small amount ventured. Try it!
