Kentucky Derby recap

Derby Recap:

Wow! That's exactly why the Kentucky Derby is so great!

A horse who NOBODY figured wins at 50:1! He didn't win by some fluke, jockeys falling off, horses breaking down, some wild and weird thing...........Borel "stole the race" with his familiar "rail trip" running a shorter distance than any other in the race.

What will be the odds on this Triple Crown!

Half way through, he was DAL (Dead Ass Last), but what a terrific ride home to the wire!  Passed the top contender big names, like they were standing still!  I mean going away at the biggest margin anyone can remember in the Kentucky Derby!  No one will ever forget the 2009 Kentucky Derby for the fantastic ride on the surprise horse.

It also reminds everyone, why we always play at least one Pick Three "All Leg" through the big race in our Triple Crown packages. Our $1 P3 paid $579 (despite two huge favorites winning the other two legs) and served as our insurance policy for the Derby.

We heard from lots of customers, who had a very good day playing the under card with our selections, where we had a very good day.  The one we heard from who had the most success with our selections on Derby Day was Oklahoma Bob, who cashed 2 large win Pick 3's.  He singled our Top Pick, Einstein, in the 10th, all'd the Derby, and singled our Top Pick, Luster, in the 12th  on a $10 P3 (ticket cost $190) and collected $5760.  Just to show how zoned in his wager selections were, Bob, also played a $2 Pick Three, All in the Derby, singled Luster in the 12th and All the 13th to put him over $10,000 winner for the day! I always have contended the smartest people were raised in Oklahoma (LOL). Although, Paul maintains a different view.

Some good news for the good guys at TVG.  By the way, they are the only people we've allowed to advertise on our website.  They are covering all the Triple Crown races and if you haven't signed up with them, you can through our website.  Sign up with a $50 deposit and they give you $50, what a deal!  Be sure and sign up with them through our website and they even throw us a bean or two.

Wednesday is a very good day to play Churchill Downs if you like to shoot for big Pick Six money.  With the large carryover from Derby Day, I expect the P6 pool to be $2,000,000 to $3,000,000, a nice day to hit it!

We have our Preakness/Belmont Stakes packages on sale now for $125 (a big savings).  The Preakness rolls around pretty quick and is only 11 days away, so get the package now before you forget and remember races bought separately will be $75 each.

Paul and I want to thank you for all the e-mails, we really enjoy hearing from you, and your continuing support of At The Track.

Good Luck on Wednesday at Hollywood Park and Churchill Downs, in the Preakness on May 16th, and anytime you're At The Track!
