Place Pick All wagering strategies

Advisory

Wednesday at Santa Anita means another good 8-race card.  Lets talk some more about the PPA (Place Pick All).  I find this the single best play at southern California racetracks on weekdays, when they have their 8-race cards.  As you know, we've done mighty well with this bet this year.  Here's another Great way to make this play:

- Find the short field races and "All" them.  The beauty of this wager is you will automatically have splits, because you will have both first and second in each of the "All" legs.
- On Wednesday, there are three races with only six horses entered in each (the first, second, and seventh).  "All" each of these legs, and find a good single to run first or second in each of the other 5 races. This play will cost $216 if you "All" all three of the short field races.  The beauty of this play is, with the splits, you'll have 6 tickets working.  If you think you already have a solid horse to run first or second, use it and just "All" two of the short field legs for only $36.  With only two "All"  legs you will now have 4 tickets working, with the two splits.  You may even find another race which you must use two horses and you can use them both and with the two"All" legs your ticket is still only $72.
- We've hit 18 PPA tickets this year and about half of them have been with the $72 play described above.
- Remember, when you see a PPA payout and it's only $1800.......many times it's really $7200, with the 4 splits.
- I find the weekday 8-race cards MUCH easier to hit than the 9 and 10 race weekend  cards.......and the payouts are often terrific!

I'd recommend using about 25% of your daily play bankroll for the PPA.  You'll hit it often enough and big enough when you do to more than justify the 25% allocation of your daily bankroll.  Try it and be sure and send me an e-mail when you hit your first one!

Quick Sunday recap:

It was looking like another one of those long days........until the last race (better late than never).......we nailed the late Pick Three, the Trifecta, and that beautiful Exacta Box (Paid $49.80 per $1 played).......to pull out a good day!

Good luck on Wednesday at Santa Anita and anytime you're At The Track!
